Colton Workman
Always busy in the workshop, my interest to create continues to grow. Inspired by the exploration of a small cast iron anvil as a young lad, the idea to delve into the world of blacksmithing and metalworking sat festering in the back of my mind throughout my early years. My basic understanding of the craft was learned through a colonial trade projects in elementary school. As the prospect of realizing my childhood dream became ever more plausible, I was able to expand my knowledge of metalworking through YouTube university, mentors, and the greatest teacher of all: trial and error. I was also foAligning with my own values, I do my best to give a new life to what most would call trash. This could be making a forge out of lawn mower parts and a brake drum, or welding metal scraps into a sculpture. As a newly juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen, I am still working out of my parents garage. However, I believe that the quality of my work still reflects years of dedication to the art.
